The Distance Between The Killer And The Killing [Deluxe CD Book]

David Sylvian - The Distance Between The Killer And The Killing [Deluxe CD Book]

The Distance Between The Killer And The Killing is David Sylvian's first album of new solo work in about 15 years, and the follow-up to 2009's Manafon. It is the first release on the new Nanoq label.

The album is one continuous instrumental piece of about 46 minutes. Sylvian built it from improvised sessions recorded between 2012 and 2025, reworking and recomposing them into a single long-form composition. Contributors include Ryuichi Sakamoto, Otomo Yoshihide, Biliana Voutchkova, Miako Klein, Jamie Drouin and Lance Austin Olson. The music is made of breath, wind instruments, voices and texture rather than songs.

This deluxe edition presents the CD in a case-bound 12-page hardback book. It includes a hi-res download.
