Talk That Talk: Best of 1952-55 [LP]

The Du Droppers - Talk That Talk: Best of 1952-55 [LP]

The Du Droppers formed in Harlem in 1952 and were led by gospel veteran J.C. Ginyard, formerly of the Jubalaires. Their bluesy authority, jump rhythms, deep bass voices and street-smart humor set them apart from the teenage doo-wop groups of the day. Talk That Talk! Best of 1952-55 gathers their best work for Red Robin, RCA Victor and Groove.

It includes R&B hits 'I Wanna Know' and 'I Found Out', rockers like 'Can't Do Sixty No More' and 'Dead Broke', and songs by Leiber & Stoller. Compiled by Acrobat on a single LP.
