The Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination: Edgar Allan Poe [Deluxe 180g 3LP Book Set]

The Alan Parsons Project's debut album, originally released in June 1976, sets stories and poems by Edgar Allan Poe to music. Engineer/producer Alan Parsons and songwriter Eric Woolfson brought in guest vocalists Arthur Brown ("The Tell-Tale Heart"), John Miles ("The Cask of Amontillado", "(The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether") and Terry Sylvester of The Hollies ("To One in Paradise"), with members of Ambrosia and Pilot and keyboardist Francis Monkman also playing on the record.

This 50th anniversary edition is a 3LP book pack on 180-gram black vinyl, limited to 1,976 copies with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity. It contains the original 1976 album, the 1987 remix album and a Work in Progress LP of early rough mixes, demos and alternate takes, all mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, with a 12" x 12" book featuring full lyrics, bonus track commentary and interviews with Alan Parsons, Sally Woolfson and album contributors.
