Shower or Shine [LP]

David Rourke - Shower or Shine [LP]

Jazz guitarist David Rourke made two self-produced pop/rock albums during the pandemic before returning to his first love. Shower or Shine reunites the quartet he has gigged with countless times, with Tyler Henderson on piano, Caleb Tobocman on bass and Willie Bowman on drums, playing Rourke's originals alongside a couple of well-chosen standards.

Expressive, swinging and full of character, it should please anyone who loves Grant Green and Kenny Burrell. Pressed on black 180-gram vinyl.
