Santos Chillemi – Santos Chillemi & Compagnie - Live at the Leipzig Opera [CD]

Recorded live in July 1992, this concert captures the vision of Argentine pianist and composer Santos Chillemi, who settled in Paris and became a leading figure in the modernization of tango. His brilliant, inventive piano leads a band with Juan José Mosalini on bandoneon, Michel Benita on bass, David Pouradier Duteil on drums and Cuban singer Alma Rosa on vocals.

The Leipzig Opera's acoustics frame pieces such as "Buenos Aires je t'aime je te hais", "La Provinciana" and "La Comparsa". A historic document of Chillemi's tango-jazz. CD on Frémeaux & Associés.

Genre: Jazz, Latin Jazz.
