Riot On Oxford Street [LP]

Lenny Kaye – Riot On Oxford Street [LP]

Lenny Kaye, Patti Smith's longtime guitarist and the man who compiled the original Nuggets anthology, takes those garage and psych classics back to the stage. Riot On Oxford Street was recorded over two nights at London's 100 Club with a band including Jim Jones, the Damned's Rat Scabies, Marty Love and Dave Tregunna, plus guest singers Clive Jackson and Alan Clayton. It also holds the final performance by the Damned's Brian James, tearing into the MC5's 'Kick Out The Jams'.

Released on vinyl through Johnny Depp's IN.2 Records to mark the 54th anniversary of Nuggets.
