Polish Preludes [2CD]

Ayako Kitanaka – Polish Preludes [2CD]

In her debut recording, Japanese pianist Ayako Kitanaka traces the evolution of the Polish piano prelude across nearly two centuries, from Fryderyk Chopin's celebrated 24 Preludes, Op. 28 to Karol Szymanowski's richly expressive early works, Kazimierz Serocki's vibrant neoclassicism and Paweł Mykietyn's striking contemporary sound world.

Kitanaka combines technical precision with sensitivity and expressive intensity, highlighting both the continuity of the Polish tradition and its spirit of innovation. A double album from the Polish label DUX.

Genre: Classical, Contemporary Classical, Piano, Romantic.
