Open [LP]

Isabelle Olivier - Open [LP]

Harpist Isabelle Olivier and her son, guitarist and songwriter Raphael Olivier, have played together for 13 years, and Open is the fruit of their shared travels. The duo moves from jazz standards and modern improvisation into folk and swing, with Raphael singing covers of Radiohead's 'No Surprises' and 'Moon River' and adding cello to 'Yarrow', while Isabelle's harp shifts between percussion, birdsong and electronic pulse.

Released on black vinyl by the Rewound Echoes label, for fans of Brandee Younger, Brad Mehldau and Jose Gonzalez.
