For over 25 years, David Madson (aka Odd Nosdam) has been stationed away from the light of the mainstream, diligently working the nightshift. From his earliest days as a member of the seminal group cLOUDDEAD, through his remixes for artists such as Boards of Canada and Black Moth Super Rainbow, Nosdam has been reporting back from his rounds upon the perimeters of culture and consciousness, forging a musical language all of his own. On Patrol is the second Odd Nosdam LP to be released on The Notwist's imprint Alien Transistor. It's a love letter to the vinyl format, produced with the aim of optimizing for a single LP. The album is built almost entirely from found sounds, many of which were taken from obscure and second-hand vinyl gathered during Nosdam's ceaseless crate-digging escapades.
