The Soul Seven - Mr. Chicken [7"]

The Soul Seven were scholarship music students at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. In 1969 they cut this extremely rare single for Roger Boykin's Soultex label: two irresistible deep-funk sides, "Mr. Chicken" and "The Cissy's Thang." Their short run as The Soul Seven ended with one more 45, recorded with none other than Ike Turner, which says plenty about how tight they were.

A 7" single reissue from Vampisoul.
