Akane - Monchhichi [LP]

Akane is the bedroom-pop project of Tenerife's Carolina Machado, drummer and singer in space-rock outfit Gaf y La Estrella de la Muerte. Her second album was made during a three-day residency at Keroxen festival inside El Tanque, a disused fuel tank, together with Cairo producer 3phaz, whose club-born polyrhythms push her floaty shoegaze guitars and vintage synths somewhere darker, moving between night-time Tokyo and the misty Tenerife coast.

On vinyl LP from Keroxen.
