Mechanix (Deluxe Edition) [3LP]

UFO - Mechanix (Deluxe Edition) [3LP]

Originally released in 1982, Mechanix marked a pivotal chapter in UFO's evolution. Though often overshadowed by their late '70s classics, it has since been reappraised as a powerful and underrated entry in the catalogue, featuring driving tracks like "The Writer" and "Doing It All for You" alongside the atmospheric closer "Feel It."

This reissue has been newly remastered at AIR Mastering, with previously unreleased photographs and new liner notes by David Hann drawing on interviews with Phil Mogg, Andy Parker and Neil Carter.

A major highlight is a newly mixed live recording from London's Hammersmith Odeon on January 28, 1982, restored by producer Brian Kehew, capturing the band's raw energy on the eve of Mechanix's release.
