Leinsdorf Conducts Wagner [2CD]

Erich Leinsdorf – Leinsdorf Conducts Wagner [2CD]

Erich Leinsdorf was one of the great Wagner conductors of the 20th century, as his thirty-year association with the Metropolitan Opera attests. This set gathers several of his Wagner interpretations recorded in the mid-1960s.

Of particular interest is his orchestral synthesis of Götterdämmerung, released here for the first time. A 2CD set from the Italian label Urania Records, essential for Wagnerians and collectors of classic conductors.

Genre: Classical, Opera, Orchestral.
