Le Casse [LP]

Ennio Morricone - Le Casse [LP]

The first-ever LP reissue of Ennio Morricone's score for Le Casse (The Burglars), Henri Verneuil's 1971 heist film starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Omar Sharif. Conducted by longtime collaborator Bruno Nicolai, it's a high point of 70s European crime cinema, moving between action grooves, chic lounge jazz, lush Italian romanticism and Edda Dell'Orso's wordless vocals, around one of the maestro's best-loved main themes.

This edition adds two rare 7" tracks Astrud Gilberto recorded with Morricone and his orchestra. Restored and remastered, with OBI, printed inner sleeve and extensive liner notes.
