Little Richard - Keep It Rockin': The Specialty Chart Singles 1955-59 [LP]

Keep It Rockin' gathers the A- and B-sides Little Richard cut for Specialty Records between 1955 and 1959, the run of singles that helped define rock and roll. Recorded mostly at Cosimo Matassa's J&M Studio in New Orleans with drummer Earl Palmer and saxophonist Lee Allen, these sides fuse gospel fire, boogie-woogie piano and hard-driving R&B.

Twenty tracks include "Tutti Frutti", "Long Tall Sally", "Rip It Up", "Lucille", "Jenny Jenny", "Keep A-Knockin'" and "Good Golly Miss Molly", the records that crossed over to both the pop and R&B charts and inspired The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and generations after them. An MVD exclusive on Acrobat.
