Here I Am Baby [LP]

Lady Jane – Here I Am Baby [LP]

Here I Am Baby is the 1980 soul and funk album by Lady Jane, also known as Jane Brice. Recorded at Studio A in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, with engineer Eric Morgeson, it moves from ballads to dance-floor grooves, including Never Lived in the Ghetto and Space Flight. The closing She's a Star, written by Brice herself, is a personal statement of survival and self-belief. This Athens of the North reissue is mastered from the recovered tapes.
