Groover's Paradise is an album by Doug Sahm, produced by Doug Clifford of Creedence Clearwater Revival and released on Warner Records in 1974. Following his return to Texas after success with the Sir Douglas Quintet in California, Sahm settled into Austin's thriving music scene, becoming the main attraction at the Soap Creek Saloon, a ramshackle roadhouse where his weekly gigs turned into a gathering point for the city's freaky cowboys.
Groover's Paradise captures that scene across ten songs that mix country, R&B, conjunto, and rock and roll, ranging from the shaggy chant of "Just Groove Me" to the Mexican two-step of "La Cacahuata" and the poignant balladry of "Beautiful Texas Sunshine."
