Giant Impressions [CD]

Peter Lehel – Giant Impressions [CD]

With Giant Impressions, the Finefones Saxophone Quartet pays tribute to John Coltrane on the centenary of his birth. The quartet uses the full range of the saxophone family with no rhythm section, building a striking interplay of groove, texture and improvisational freedom.

Peter Lehel's arrangements and original compositions blend jazz tradition with a distinctive personal style, giving the group an unmistakable ensemble sound. A warm, rhythmically sharp homage to one of the giants of 20th-century jazz, on CD from Finetone.

Genre: Jazz, Modern Jazz.
