Onward International’s "Foot In The Door" has earned its place as one of the foundation stones of the influential acid jazz scene of the 1980's and 1990's. Its horn-based intro is a siren call to fill floors and has been for over 40 years! Recorded one magical night in the same studio and around the same time as Sade’s “Diamond Life” by the cream of London’s session musicians (who all later performed on Working Week’s debut album.) The Airto-styled batucada beat Brazilian boogie “Samba Doo Bonnay” is one of the other standout tracks from that now rare and ever more expensive Brit-funk meets acid jazz EP!
