Flying Karpet [LP]

The Flying Karpet - Flying Karpet [LP]

The Flying Karpet made just one album, a little-known slice of 1968 Mexican psychedelia issued on the cult Son-Art label, home to prized records by Los Monstruos, Los Temerarios and Los Fugitivos. The band tears through rough, lo-fi takes on songs associated with Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, The Monkees, The Byrds, Eric Burdon and The Animals, Brenton Wood and others, all with the loose, smoky feel of a late-night session.

Original copies are notoriously hard to find; this vinyl LP reissue from Munster Records puts the record back in circulation.
