Émile Parisien's Floating grew from a one-off concert closing his residency at the Théâtre de la Cité internationale de Paris. The saxophonist is joined by pianist Yaron Herman, bassist Linda May Han Oh and percussionist Prabhu Edouard for intimate chamber jazz built around space, melody and improvisation. The nine-track album includes “Asian Songs & Rhythms, No. 40,” “Bonbon,” “Badhra,” “Nusrat” and “Arco.”
