Małgorzata Wasiucionek-Potera – Dream & Beyond [CD]

Violinist Małgorzata Wasiucionek-Potera and pianist Andrzej Karałow follow their Fryderyk-nominated Life & Beyond with Dream & Beyond, a concept album about the hazy landscapes of dreams. The programme gathers short modern masterpieces, from the delicate Japanese lyricism of Toru Takemitsu to the turbulence of Einojuhani Rautavaara and Erkki-Sven Tüür's syncopated Conversio, framed by a poetic motif from Maciej Papierski.

The disc closes the circle with the world-premiere recording of Karałow's own Air, and features his original artwork on the cover. Single CD on DUX, an intimate and atmospheric violin-and-piano recital.

Genre: Chamber Music, Classical, Contemporary Classical.
