Dawning [LP]

Damon Locks & D-Composed - Dawning [LP]

Dawning is a collaboration between Chicago artist and musician Damon Locks and D-Composed, a Chicago chamber ensemble devoted to Black composers and string music. It was recorded live at The Land School, the Rebuild Foundation's headquarters on Chicago's South Side, where D-Composed and International Anthem are the first creative partners in residence.

Locks brings live sampling, beats and spoken word to the group's strings across six pieces, with guest appearances from Pauli the PSM and Monique Golding.
