Dave Hamilton's Detroit Soul Sounds 1965-1977 [7x7" Box Set]

Various Artists - Dave Hamilton's Detroit Soul Sounds 1965-1977 [7x7" Box Set]

Dave Hamilton was a Motown session man turned producer and label owner who ran his own corner of the Detroit soul scene through the late '60s and '70s. Kent Records digs into his archive for this collection, from Little Ann's "What Should I Do" and "Deep Shadows" to O.C. Tolbert, the Ravins, the Additions, Rita Dushay, the Moderations and Hamilton's own "Soul Suite".

The set gathers seven 7-inch singles in a box, two sides each, the way these tracks were meant to be heard. A UK import from Kent, the label that has spent decades bringing rare soul to collectors and dancefloors.
