Jimmy “Duck” Holmes - Cypress Grove [Vinyl]

Cypress Grove presents Jimmy “Duck” Holmes’ Bentonia blues in a studio setting produced by Dan Auerbach. The Mississippi singer and guitarist brings a distinctive tuning and unhurried phrasing to the music, joined by musicians including Marcus King. The performances preserve the intimate feel of Holmes’ acoustic blues while introducing sympathetic electric accompaniment.
