Convergence [LP]

Ralph Moore - Convergence [LP]

Tenor saxophonist Ralph Moore, a veteran of bands led by Horace Silver and Freddie Hubbard, meets pianist Dave Kikoski, bassist Peter Washington and drummer Lewis Nash on Convergence. Recorded in Vancouver, it's a session about chemistry rather than credentials: new Kikoski compositions, a title track Moore wrote for the date, and cleverly arranged standards like 'How About You', 'Just Friends' and 'Laura'.

Pressed on 180-gram black vinyl LP for Cellar Live, and a natural pick for Sonny Rollins fans.
