Christensen started out as a music producer and DJ in 1991. Under the pseudonym U96 he scored an immediate top 4 hit in 1992 with a techno version of "Das Boot." This was one of the first major techno hits in the Top 40. As a producer and/or composer Christensen has worked for Right Said Fred Tom Jones NSYNC Rollergirl Marianne Rosenberg Sarah Brightman and ATC among others. With the Berlin Orchestra he recorded several major hits in orchestral versions.
