City Slicker (5th Anniversary Edition) [Translucent Sea Blue LP]

Ginger Root – City Slicker (5th Anniversary Edition) [Translucent Sea Blue LP]

City Slicker, first released in fall 2021, is the concept EP that changed the course of Ginger Root. Cameron Lew drew on late-'70s and '80s Japanese city pop and imagined himself in 1981, scoring the American adaptation of a fictitious Japanese film. Breezy, groove-heavy songs like 'Loretta', 'Juban District' and the title track made it a fan favorite.

This 5th anniversary edition adds a B-side of never-released versions of every song, including a demo, live recordings from Tokyo, Philadelphia and Chicago, and an instrumental. Pressed on translucent sea blue vinyl.
