Chacalón y La Nueva Crema [LP]

Chacalón & La Nueva Crema - Chacalón y La Nueva Crema [LP]

Chacalón was the voice of Lima's working-class barrios, and with La Nueva Crema he became the biggest star of chicha, the electric Peruvian cumbia that blended Andean melodies, tropical rhythms and wiry, psychedelic guitar. His songs of struggle and hope made him a folk hero to millions of migrants from the highlands.

Brought back on vinyl LP by Vampisoul, the Spanish label known for its deep-digging Latin American reissues.
