Ruggero Deodato's 1980 film was so convincing that he was charged in Italy and had to produce his actors in court to prove they were still alive, and it has been banned and censored around the world ever since. Grindhouse Releasing, the label behind The Beyond and Pieces, presents its definitive edition, produced by Academy Award-winning film editor Bob Murawski. Eli Roth called it "the most shocking, disturbing, and amazing horror film I have ever seen."
