Almost Starlight [LP]

Jem Finer & John Matthias - Almost Starlight [LP]

Jem Finer, founding member of The Pogues and creator of the thousand-year composition Longplayer, joins composer John Matthias for Almost Starlight. The album moves between electronic textures and acoustic instruments, with pieces like 'Trick of the Light', 'Slow Dance at the End of Time', 'Baroque Blues' and the title track drifting from gentle melody to strange, shimmering abstraction.

Released on vinyl LP by Touch, the London label long associated with thoughtful experimental and electronic music.
