Dan Romer's Emmy Award®-nominated score to Season One of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms receives a physical release through Mutant, WaterTower Music and HBO. Romer's score is intimate, beautiful and emotionally resonant. Heavily influenced by the spaghetti western scores of Ennio Morricone as well as the medieval folk music that inspired the show, Romer trades in the grandiose orchestrations of Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon for a sparser (but no less spectacular) soundscape that features plucked guitar strings, fiddles, and plenty of whistling. As a result, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms establishes itself as its own unique musical entity. Romer does masterfully incorporate Ramin Djawadi’s iconic Game of Thrones theme at a pivotal moment in the score, and this is done to thrilling effect. This retail-exclusive edition is pressed on green vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve wrapped in a printed interactive PET sleeve. The package includes eight portraits of the show's main characters with artwork by Greg Ruth.
