To mark 20 years since its original release, Sigur Ros are reissuing their beloved album Takk... in a freshly
remastered edition that brings new depth and clarity to a modern classic. First released in 2005, Takk... is
the album that introduced so many to the band, with singles Glosoli, Saeglopur and Hoppipolla bringing a
whole new audience.
Takk... was recorded at the band's own studio, Sundlaugin, near Alafoss in the town of Mossfellbaer,
outside Reykjavik. The album was produced by the band with Ken Thomas, Takk being the third successive
and final studio album they worked on together. This reissue has been carefully remastered by the bands
long standing mastering engineer Ted Jenson at Sterling Sound. The result is a clearer, fuller sound that
keeps all the warmth and magic of the original while letting the details shine through.
