Originally released in 1984 on SST, Surviving You, Always is the first full-length album by Saccharine Trust. Guitarist Joe Baiza was exploring jazz at the time, while vocalist Jack Brewer's apocalyptic, hallucinatory lyrics contain biblical imagery. The powerful rhythm section of drummer Tony Cicero and bassist Mark Hodson anchors the music's jagged edges. This is punk rock challenging the very conventions of punk.
