While the first album was the band getting to know each other's musical tendencies, I believe that the new album is a crystallization of the shared vision everyone has which was brought into focus by John Agnello's expert mixing work. The guitars are still ferocious, but the rhythm section finds better footing on this album with almost Fugazi leanings, over the most realized melodies I have been able to write thus far. Most of these songs were written within about 10 min. The band's existence has always been somewhat effortless in the approach of the musicians involved and hopefully this is conveyed via the presentation and sound quality here.
