La Proyeccion, the debut LP by Jose Maria Lluch, an architect and musician from San Sebastian, emerges as a transition -- a gradual shift that unfolded over time. Field recordings from everyday life, fingerpicked guitar, soothing harmonics, tape manipulation, and ethereal soundscapes are combined with a naive openness. The album reveals the joy found in imperfection. Rarely do audiences have the chance to glimpse someone's work in its most unguarded form, without a specific context, after years spent making music simply as a way to break away -- not for anyone else, but for oneself.
