Since her breakthrough back in 2016 Åsa Söderqvist’s ShitKid has been one of the most interesting acts around, constantly defying expectations and breaking conventions. After abruptly ending the project in 2020 and disappearing from the music scene altogether, ShitKid now returns with compilations and a live comeback in 2026 touring across the world. The Essential (Vol 2) brings together tracks from the slower and more experimental side of ShitKid, following the rawer, rock focused Vol 1. The Essential (Vol 2) arrives as ShitKid is set to tour the UK, Europe, Japan and Canada during the fall after a first run in the spring with sold-out shows in London, Berlin, Paris and Stockholm.Released alongside UK and EU tour dates in September, the live comeback which started with sold out London shows across Canada, Japan and Scandinavia later in the year. Over the years, ShitKid has receieved support from outlets including The FADER, NME, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, KEXP and NPR.
