Monaco was a side project (1995-2000) of new order bass player peter hook, together with david potts, the only remaining member of revenge. Hook’s distinctive pulsating bass lines united new order’s marriage of post-punk and pop, creating an identity so recognizable that these Monaco tracks can easily be mistaken for tracks by new order.
