Hideaki Tokunaga will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his major debut on January 21, 2026. To mark this memorable day, the long-awaited new album "COVERS" is set for release. This new series represents the essence of Hideaki Tokunaga's artistry-his signature approach to cover albums. It is also his first studio recording since signing with Nippon Columbia, and his first cover album in 11 years since the hugely successful "VOCALIST 6."

With the "VOCALIST" series, Tokunaga established a unique brand by faithfully interpreting timeless songs by female artists. In "COVERS," he broadens his scope, selecting masterpieces by both male and female artists-songs he feels inspired to sing today-and reimagines them with heartfelt arrangements and his distinctive vocals.

Exactly 40 years to the day since the release of his debut single "Rainy Blue," this album stands as a culmination of his journey and the beginning of a new chapter in sound.
