The five members of El Mato a Un Policia Motorizado are from La Plata, not far from Buenos Aires, in Argentina. The band's music conjures melodic noise rock reminiscent of Pavement and Guided by Voices - but so much their own sound. The Argentine band's critically-acclaimed U.S. debut ''La Dinastia Scorpio'' is full of intricately crafted melodies and profound-yet-simple lyrics that range from confrontational politics to the perils of love. The album was named one of Rolling Stone Mexico's best albums of the year and also landed the band a Rolling Stone cover in Argentina. The album was followed up by the EP ''Violencia'', a precursor to this latest full-length release ''La Sintesis O'Konor''.
