Store Policy


We will select the lowest traceable shipping option through USPS or UPS. Most in-stock domestic and international orders are packaged and shipped within 5 business days.  We will use the shipping you purchased but please note an expedited shipping does not make our processing time go faster. If your customs requires your Tax ID to be included, please make sure you've included that in the order notes so that there is no delay in your order.

If you are using any free shipping offers and any item in your purchase is sold-out by the time we fullfill your order, we will refund you for this item and will add shipping to your purchase if your total falls below the required minimum.


We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you find that you need to return an item, please review our return policy below to determine if any special return conditions apply.

All media (ie: vinyl, CD, etc), sale items and gift cards are considered final sale. New/Sealed non-media items may be returned within 10 days, meaning you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return for a refund via store credit/gift card. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same sealed condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need a receipt or proof of purchase. If you purchase in bulk and are returning more than one copy of the same item, there is an automatic 10% restocking fee.

We work hard to provide a clear description on what you will be getting but there may be times we receive bad info from the supplier. If you need more information before making a purchase on an item, please reach out to us before making your purchase. 

To start a return, you can contact us at If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. For your protection, please send your return prepaid via a shipping service that can be tracked, such as USPS. Please be sure to keep your receipt. We cannot guarantee refunds for returns sent via a non-traceable method. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and other issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

You will be required to return the item in the condition that you received it within 10 business days of receipt of the item for a refund. If item isn't received back in set amount of time, you will void your refund or warranty.

Vinyl isn't perfect and perfect covers are rare. Your records will not always be perfectly flat. We will send you the best looking copy we have of a sealed item but it may have a small corner ding or a seam split because the manufacturer jammed a record or two into a tight jacket.  While we don't consider these damaged items, please reach out to us at with pictures to help move the process along. Generic CD and cassette jewel cases may have cracks.  We do not consider this a defect and we will not replace a twenty cent item you can grab from anywhere. Also if you are someone that would reach out to a small business to return a cd/cassette because the generic .20 cent case was broken, you need to be a better person or take your fraud elsewhere. We have no patience for that.

Vinyl Pre-Orders

Our ability to fill pre-orders depends on how many copies are made and receiving enough copies from our suppliers.  We will fill pre-orders in order so placing your order as early as possible is your best bet to securing a copy. If you are placing a pre-order, you may cancel at anytime up until 2 weeks before the item is set to be shipped and be fully reimbursed in the same method that you originally paid.  There is a 5% restock fee on all bulk (more than 1 of the same title) pre-orders.

Used Vinyl
We guarantee all of our used vinyl collectibles to play, but we do not guarantee them to be in "mint" or "near-mint" condition, unless stated in the product description. Acceptable amounts of wear and signs of use include but are not limited to light scratches that do not affect play, small cut-outs, saw marks, punched bar-codes, promotional stamps.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return or reviewed your specific situation, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll receive a gift card minus shipping costs.

Refund Method
Drowned World Records has one refund method - gift cards.  For any item that is shipped out by our warehouse that will require a refund, you will receive a refund in the form of a gift card for the cost of the item minus shipping costs.

Drowned World Records may cancel an order or reject a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, abuse, unlawful or manipulative behavior that entitles Drowned World Records to a corresponding counterclaim.
