marking a defining moment in his career. Born in rural Anderson, South Carolina, and raised in a family of artists, he began playing piano at a
young age before expanding into bass, drums, guitar, and production after relocating to Tampa, Florida. By his teens, Jacoby was recording in a
home studio and sharing music on SoundCloud, with early rap-driven tracks like 2016’s “Mr. Poet” earning six-figure streams. A brief incarceration
during his youth proved formative, shaping his perspective and deepening his commitment to using his voice with intention. ‘gutta child’ earned
widespread critical acclaim from NPR, Billboard, The FADER, Stereogum, PASTE, and more, with its standout track “be careful,” a bluesy love
song layered with deeper meaning, also marking Jacoby’s debut performance on COLORS. The momentum continued as Jacoby toured as the
