Cameron Winter Takes Carnegie Hall, Plus Troye Sivan, Remi Wolf, Genesis & Orbital on Vinyl
A live piano night for the books, a queer pop love letter, a campfire-warm Remi Wolf record, Genesis' 1969 debut remixed with Peter Gabriel's blessing, and Orbital's legendary Glastonbury set made official.
Friday is stacked with records that carry real weight: a 20-something songwriter alone on one of the most famous stages in America, a pop star building an album around the women and drag queens who shaped him, a band that spent fifty-plus years disliking its own first record finally getting to fix it, and the festival set that proved dance music belonged on the biggest stage in the field. Here's what just landed at Drowned World Records.
Just Dropped
Cameron Winter — Live at Carnegie Hall [Deep Red 2LP]
Cameron Winter, the Geese frontman, released his solo debut Heavy Metal on December 6, 2024, after a year of recording that began in July 2023 at drummer Loren Humphrey's studio in Tuxedo, New York. He played most of the instruments himself, working through depression and leaning on Beat poets, Rimbaud and Joyce, and the result was one of the most acclaimed records of the decade so far: Pitchfork gave it Best New Music, ranked it the third-best album of 2025, and named 'Love Takes Miles' the best song of the year. He spent 2025 playing small rooms and churches, then in December 2025 became one of the youngest solo artists ever to headline Carnegie Hall's main stage. Directors Benny Safdie and Paul Thomas Anderson filmed the night for a project that hasn't been announced. This 2LP captures it all: eleven songs, including 'It All Fell in the River,' 'Try as I May,' 'The Rolling Stones,' 'Cancer of the Skull,' '$0,' 'Take It With You,' and 'Vines,' plus three songs nobody has heard before. It's just a man and a piano in a room that has held everyone from Tchaikovsky to Bob Dylan, and it sounds like the feeling of watching something begin. Out Friday via Partisan.
Troye Sivan — She's the Best [Navy Blue Vinyl LP]
Troye Sivan's fourth album is his first for Interscope and, in his words, 'a painting that captures my life in all of its moods and colours.' He describes the record as an exploration of desire, identity, joy, loneliness and queer belonging, and the through-line is femininity: the trans women, drag queens and feminine-presenting people who've been a grounding constant through every chapter of his career. The title track was written and produced with Jack Antonoff and George Daniel (of The 1975), with Leland and Styalz Fuego also in the writing room, and it builds from spoken verses into guitars, strings and synths. The video, directed by Gordon von Steiner and starring Nicole Kidman, draws on the fashion and queer New York of the 1980s. It arrives after Something to Give Each Other, which reached the top five of the Billboard 200 and pulled in over two billion streams, and after the SWEAT tour he co-headlined with Charli xcx. Euphoric, a little lonely, and unapologetically his. Out Friday.
Remi Wolf — Mud [LP, Metallic Smoke Indie Exclusive or Bubblegum]
Remi Wolf spent the first two albums, Juno (2021) and Big Ideas (2024), in technicolor overdrive. Mud is the sound of her taking her hands off the dials. It's her third album and her most stripped-back: the synths and programmed drums are mostly gone, replaced by live instruments tracked in the same room. Sessions took place in Nashville, Big Bear, New York and Electric Lady Studios, with finishing touches in Joshua Tree, and she describes the Big Bear stretch as a 'family band' setup where everyone wrote together, shared meals and passed microphones around the kitchen. She plays drums herself on some of it. Longtime collaborator Jared Solomon is back, along with Jack DeMeo, Jamie McLaughlin and Gigi Grombacher, and singles 'Twiggy' and 'Bottle' show the new direction: still colorful, still Remi, but warmer and rooted. She's said she finished the record feeling clean and clear. We have the Metallic Smoke indie-exclusive pressing with alternate cover and poster, plus the standard Bubblegum vinyl. Out Friday.
Genesis — From Genesis to Revelation [2LP]
Genesis made their first album as teenagers, right out of school at Charterhouse, under the guidance of producer Jonathan King, who steered them toward straightforward psych-pop and folk, then layered on ornate orchestral arrangements that some members feared would bury the band's own sound. They've been uneasy about it for more than half a century. For 2026, engineer Stephen W. Tayler delivered a brand-new stereo mix, and this time the founding members signed off: Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford got back together at AIR Studios in April 2026 to hear and approve the playbacks. The big deluxe box adds mono mixes, demos, a 68-page booklet and Dolby Atmos and 5.1 audio, while this 2LP puts the new stereo mix on vinyl. If you've only known this record as the one the band shrugs off, this is the chance to hear what the songs sounded like in the room. Out Friday.
Orbital — Live at Glastonbury 1994 [2LP Transparent Yellow & Blue Vinyl, Import]
Phil and Paul Hartnoll named Orbital after the M25, the London ring road at the center of the early rave scene, and made their first anthem, 'Chime,' in 1989 on their dad's four-track in a converted stair cupboard in Dunton Green, Kent. Five years later, in June 1994, they played Glastonbury with a pair of head-mounted torches and a rig they improvised in real time, and electronic music's place at the biggest festival in the country was never in question again. Channel 4 broadcast it, and Q magazine later ranked it among the fifty greatest gigs of all time. Paul has said it was simply about time: 'of course we should have acid house at Glastonbury.' Until now, only parts of the show had appeared officially, on the 2004 compilation Live at Glastonbury 1994–2004. This is the first complete official release: nine tracks including 'Forever,' 'Chime,' and both parts of 'Are We Here?' Out Friday.
Spring Awakening — Original Cast Recording [2LP]
The Tony-winning rock musical turns 20 this year, and it lands in the shadow of loss: composer Duncan Sheik died in September at 56. With writer Steven Sater, he turned Wedekind's banned 1891 play into a score of aching, electrifying songs, recorded largely in Sheik's own home studio in 2006. It launched Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff and John Gallagher Jr., and it gave us 'The Bitch of Living' and 'The Song of Purple Summer.' A fitting way to honor the man who wrote it. Out Friday.
