Jim Hall wrote in the liner notes: "Great trio, variety of material, light-footed swing, gorgeous ballad playing, excellent solo development, beautiful dynamic shading," and so forth. The difficulty has been that this music makes me feel like playing along with it rather than writing about it, and it's hard to compose liner notes with a guitar in my lap.
