At Drowned World Records, we value transparency and want to ensure a smooth shopping experience for you. Please review the following policies carefully before making a purchase.

📦 Shipping Policy

We use the lowest traceable shipping option through USPS or UPS.

  • Processing Time: Most in-stock domestic and international orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days.
  • Expedited Shipping: Choosing an expedited shipping method does not reduce processing time.
  • Customs Requirements: If your customs office requires a Tax ID, please include it in the order notes to avoid delays.

Free Shipping Offers:
If an item in your order is sold out by the time we fulfill your order, we will refund the item and apply shipping charges if your order total falls below the required minimum for free shipping.

🚚 Incorrect or Incomplete Address Policy

Please ensure that your shipping address is complete and accurate at checkout. This includes:

  • Full street address, including apartment/unit number (if applicable)
  • City, state/province, and postal/ZIP code
  • Correct country for international orders

If an Order is Returned Due to Address Issues:

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the following options are available:

  1. Reshipping the Order:
    We are happy to reship your order, but you will be responsible for the cost of the additional shipping. We will send you an invoice for the reshipping fee, and once it is paid, we will resend your order.

  2. Refund Option:
    If you prefer not to have the item reshipped, we can issue a refund for the item cost, minus the original shipping charges.

Important Notes:

  • Customs Fees (International Orders): Any customs fees incurred on returned packages are non-refundable.
  • Address Verification: If you realize there is an issue with your address after placing an order, please contact us immediately at cs@drownedworldrecords.com so we can attempt to correct it before the order ships.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms regarding address-related issues.

🔄 Return Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please review our return guidelines carefully:

Final Sale Items:

  • All media (vinyl, CDs, cassettes, books, etc.)
  • Sale items
  • Gift cards

Eligible Returns:
Non-media items that are new and sealed may be returned within 10 days of receiving your order for store credit (gift card). To qualify, items must be:

  • In the same sealed condition as received
  • Unworn or unused, with original tags and packaging
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

      • Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee applies to bulk returns (more than one copy of the same item).

      Initiating a Return:
      To start a return, please contact us at cs@drownedworldrecords.com. If your return is approved, we will provide detailed instructions on how to send your item back.

      Return Shipping:

      • Use a trackable shipping service like USPS.
      • Keep your shipping receipt for your records.
      • Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.

      🛠️ Damages and Issues

      Please inspect your order upon receipt. If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, contact us at cs@drownedworldrecords.com within 10 business days of receipt.

      Requirements for Refund or Replacement:

      • The item must be returned in the condition it was received.
      • If the item is not returned within 10 business days, the refund or replacement request will be voided.

      Vinyl Imperfections:

      • Minor imperfections like corner dings, seam splits, or slight warping are common and not considered defects.
      • We will ship the best available copy of sealed items.

      CD & Cassette Cases:

      • Generic jewel cases may arrive with cracks. These are not considered defects and will not be replaced.

      If there are significant issues, please email us with photos to help expedite the process.

      📅 Vinyl Pre-Orders

      Our ability to fulfill pre-orders depends on production quantities and supplier availability.

      • Order Fulfillment: Pre-orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Placing your order early improves your chances of securing a copy.
      • Cancellation Policy: You may cancel a pre-order up to 2 weeks before the release date for a full refund in the original payment method.
      • Restocking Fee: A 5% restocking fee applies to bulk cancellations (more than one of the same title).

      💿 Used Vinyl

      All used vinyl is guaranteed to play but may show signs of wear. Acceptable conditions may include:

      • Light scratches that do not affect play
      • Cut-outs, saw marks, punched barcodes, or promotional stamps

      We will note any significant issues in the product description.

      🏷️ Sale and Discount Vinyl

      • As-Is Condition: Sale and discounted items are sold as-is and may have minor imperfections like light creases or corner dings.
      • Major Flaws: Any major flaws will be noted in the product description.
      • Final Sale: All sale or discounted items are final sale.

      💳 Refunds

      • Approval Process: Once we receive and inspect your return or review your issue, we will notify you if your refund is approved.
      • Refund Method: All refunds are issued as a store credit (gift card), minus any shipping costs.

      🌍 International Buyers

      We love our international customers and strive to provide a great experience. Please note the following:

      • Return Shipping: International customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
      • Refunds: If a refund or credit is approved, it will be issued for the item cost only. Shipping fees, customs duties, and related charges are non-refundable.
      • Customs Duties: You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees imposed by your country.
      • Agreement: By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
