Daft Punk’s TRON: Legacy soundtrack stands as one of the duo’s most ambitious projects, merging their unmistakable electronic sound with sweeping orchestral arrangements for Disney’s 2010 sci-fi epic. Created by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo as their feature-film scoring debut, the music was recorded with a 100-piece orchestra at AIR Lyndhurst Studios in London, resulting in a striking fusion of synthesizers, strings, brass and cinematic atmosphere.

The score moves effortlessly between ominous electronic tension and full-scale orchestral drama, with highlights including “The Grid,” “The Son of Flynn,” “Rinzler,” “End of Line,” “Derezzed,” “Solar Sailer” and the soaring “TRON Legacy (End Titles).” The album became a major commercial success in its own right, reaching No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and developing into one of the most celebrated film scores of the modern electronic era.
