Texture Songs [LP]

Chuck Roth – Texture Songs [LP]

New York guitarist Chuck Roth follows last year's watergh0st songs with Texture Songs, an intimate seven-track album built around the particularities of his Stratocaster: its pickups, its volume swells, the shape of every note. 'Gun' rings out bottom-string harmonics, 'Siren' lives in sustained, buzzing string crossings, and 'Highway' sounds like he is in the room with you. Roth sings throughout, but lets the guitar carry the emotion, with lyrics decorating the edges of each song.

Some of these songs have evolved through live performance for five years or more; here they are captured raw and close-up. Pressed on vinyl LP by Palilalia.

Genre: Experimental Rock, Indie Rock, Singer-Songwriter.
