So Far [CD]

Stefano Rielli - So Far [CD]

So Far is the debut album by Italian bassist Stefano Rielli, who holds a jazz double bass degree from Parma Conservatory and a master's in electric bass from Matera. He leads an organ group with Emanuele Coluccia (tenor saxophone), Vincenzo Abbracciante (Hammond organ) and Marco Girardo (drums), with clarinettist Gabriele Mirabassi as guest.

The short programme (about 31 minutes) is mostly jazz covers, including Charlie Parker's 'Dewey Square', plus one original, in a sound inspired by Jimmy Smith's organ groups.
