Relics [LP]

DMZ - Relics [LP]

Before Lyres, Jeff 'Monoman' Conolly fronted DMZ, a Boston band with obvious glam roots that mashed up the Dolls, the Stooges and the Nuggets-era garage bands. Featured in Greg Shaw's Who Put The Bomp fanzine and signed to his Bomp! label, they cut a wild, Craig Leon-produced EP in 1977. Relics gathers that EP with demos, including covers of the 13th Floor Elevators, The Standells and The Pretty Things.

First issued in 1981 on Bomp!'s sister label Voxx, this Munster Records LP reissue adds five extra tracks and liner notes by the late Jeff Conolly.
