Limited Edition 3 LP set. Recto Verso is the debut and only studio album by the French electronic duo Paradis, released in September 2016 on the Barclay label. Paradis consisted of Simon Mény (vocals/lyrics) and Pierre Rousseau (production/instrumentation). The pair met in Paris around 2010 through mutual friends and quickly formed a creative partnership, debuting in 2011 with the 12-inch single "Parfait Tirage," a cover of Alain Souchon's "La Ballade de Jim," released on the Beats in Space label. The duo was highly regarded for bridging the gap between traditional French chanson and contemporary electronic textures. Their sound is often described as introspective, romantic, and cinematic, blending deep house, synth-pop, and soul influences. Critics and fans frequently compare their polished, melancholic aesthetic to iconic French acts like Air and Daft Punk.
